Devang C. Patel, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Patel has been practicing podiatry in Norwalk since 1996. Dr. Patel and his staff provide comprehensive and quality care for all of your foot care needs. Dr. Patel graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1989 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Molecular Biology.

From there he went to medical school at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. This college along with the Chicago Medical School is now part of the Rosalind Franklin Medicine and Science. He has had extensive training in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at St. John Hospital- North Shores outside of Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Patel was board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1998 and has achieved recertification in 2006 and 2016. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also certified in Cryotherapy and Osteotripsey procedures that are utilized in the treatment of various conditions including heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis and neuroma.

He is also a member various medical societies including: American Podiatric Medicine Association, Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Patel has served as an officer in the Fairfield County Podiatric Medical Association

Dr. Patel is currently the Section Chief of Podiatry at Norwalk Hospital and a member of the Clinical Operations Committee at Norwalk Surgery Center,  He continues to maintain the newest techniques in surgery and treatment of foot conditions through extensive continuing medical education. Dr. Patel is also active in teaching. He is a member of the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners and reviews journal submissions of the
Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Patel and his wife, Marie, are active in the community. They have 2 boys, Wesley and Mitchell. They enjoy playing various sports including baseball, soccer, swimming and golf.

The office staff is courteous, skilled and caring. Their objective is to make your foot care free from anxiety and help you feel comfortable.

On your first visit, we begin by the necessary intake forms and paperwork. Once completed you will be brought into a treatment room promptly. Someone will assess your needs to expedite the process. We understand that no one likes to be kept waiting.

Dr. Patel will then complete a thorough history review and physical exam to aid in the treatment of your foot condition. Various tests may be necessary and this may include a walking of gait examination and diagnostic x-rays to evaluate any osseous conditions. Once the examination is completed, the doctor will discuss a treatment program to get you back to a comfortable activity level.

Dr. Patel would like to ensure your comfort and safety. Our instruments are always clean and sterilized. We closely follow the guidelines outlined by the OSHA, CDC and the state societies.

As in all medical specialties our goal is to prevent ailments that may hinder your health.

Shane J. Reynolds, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Reynolds is originally from Glens Falls, NY, and currently resides in Milford, CT.

He graduated from Keuka College with Summa Cum Laude honors with both a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics.  

He completed his podiatric medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2015 and a three-year Podiatric medical and surgical residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2018. During his tenure at Yale, Dr. Reynolds learned from some of the top doctors in the fields of foot, ankle, and plastic surgery. He has treated thousands of patients during his training annually, closely following their care from their initial visit throughout the post-operative time period. 

Dr. Reynolds has published in numerous peer reviewed journals and won the prestigious Yale Resident of the Year Award as a Chief Resident.

After completing his residency training in 2018, Dr. Reynolds spent time as an integral part of a private practice as an Associate Podiatrist also working with the Yale New Haven Health Podiatric Residency where he was involved teaching the podiatric residents.

His current and future patients can rest assured that I have developed the confidence to treat a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions and effectively use evidence-based medicine to provide the best and up-to-date treatments available for my patients.
